Composition guide

How to combine borders and centers

A framed composition works when center tiles, straight border runs and corners remain continuous. The catalog connects pieces from the same family and the customizer verifies the complete system before a quote.

A corner is not a cut piece

When a connected corner exists, use it to turn the frame. Mitering a straight border can interrupt the drawing and does not replace a corner designed for continuity.

Inner and outer borders have different roles

A double border adds a second path around the center. Check that each run has its matching corner and preserve inner/outer order when saving or sharing.

The center should close in complete units

Adjust the field so its repeatable center unit ends coherently inside the frame. The customizer keeps center counts compatible with its pattern logic.

Frequently asked questions

Does every border need a corner?

If it encloses an area, the connected corner is the cleanest way to preserve continuity. The catalog identifies pieces from the same system.

Can I use a border from another family?

It can be evaluated visually, but its axes and colors should not be assumed to connect. Inspect the complete composition first.

Can I add an outer border?

Yes. The customizer supports a compatible second border, either decorated or solid.
